The Minister of Education and Sports in Buganda Kingdom, Dr. Fred Masagazi Masaazi has flagged off all the equipment required for Muteesa I Royal University graduation ceremony slated for Friday 15th April, 2011.
During the ceremony held at the Kakeeka University campus, the Vice Chancellor received a traditional rod made in a pen shape to guide the University through its duties, students and university officials` gowns and a podium.
While handing over the equipment, Dr. Masagazi observed that holding a 1st graduation is a great achievement to Muteesa I Royal University and sign of maturity.
The Vice chancellor Prof. Elisha Semakula dismissed all reports that the graduation ceremony has been postponed and assured the public that the ceremony will be held on Friday 15th April, 2011 at the main campus in Masaka.
He emphasized that over 1000 are expected to graduate in various disciplines from degree to certificate level at a ceremony to be presided over by Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
Prof. Ssemakula thanked everyone who has contributed towards the success of this occasion.
