The Kingdom of Buganda is situated in the Central region of the country known today as Uganda. It is right in the heart of Africa astride the Equator and in the North West shores of Lake Victoria and it's also the source of the great river Nile. Buganda Kingdom is the home to the nation's political and commercial capital city Kampala as well as the country's main International airport Entebbe.

The Kingdom's equatorial climate provides plentiful sunshine which is moderated by relatively high altitude. Since it's near Lake Victoria, it's mean annual temperature ranges from 16 degrees 25 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperature averages between 8 degrees to 10 degrees Celsius warmer than night temperatures. Rainfall is evenly distributed around the area and the mean annual rainfall often exceeds 2100 millimeters. Members of the Buganda Lukiiko paying attention to Katikkiro's speech

The 4th sitting of the Buganda lukiiko in the 26th great Lukiiko has convened today and a number of issues have been tackled to enable the Kingdom fulfill its desires.

Today’s Lukiiko has been so special in the way that, the new speaker Patrick Luwagga Mugumbule kicked off his duties. In the same line, the new Minister for Tourism, culture and heritage, David Kyewalabye Male has been sworn in and is now a full member of the Lukiiko and can make a contribution.

Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga used the Lukiiko to inform the government to mind about the security of its citizens. He said, killings and murder cases are on increase all over the country and it is the role of the government to equip the Police with the necessary crime preventing facilities so that to give adequate protection to the people.

The lukiiko passed a number of resolutions among which they congratulated His Majesty King Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II for reaching His 64th birthday.
