The Kingdom of Buganda is situated in the Central region of the country known today as Uganda. It is right in the heart of Africa astride the Equator and in the North West shores of Lake Victoria and it's also the source of the great river Nile. Buganda Kingdom is the home to the nation's political and commercial capital city Kampala as well as the country's main International airport Entebbe.

The Kingdom's equatorial climate provides plentiful sunshine which is moderated by relatively high altitude. Since it's near Lake Victoria, it's mean annual temperature ranges from 16 degrees 25 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperature averages between 8 degrees to 10 degrees Celsius warmer than night temperatures. Rainfall is evenly distributed around the area and the mean annual rainfall often exceeds 2100 millimeters. While addressing at the 2019 Biennial Buganda Bumu North American Convention in Washington DC, the Prime minister of Buganda Kingdom Charles Peter Mayiga advised the seniors including the Kabaka’s representatives in American states, to set up an investment infrastructure which is visible to the public. In order to implement his idea, Katikkiro asked them to set up an investment committee of not more than seven people who are only practical comprising of men and women of integrity who will be answerable to the joint council of Kabaka’s represent in the Diaspora.

In addition, Katikkiro highlighted the need to involve the youths in the activities of the Kingdom, saying, a bright future for Buganda , a Kingdom in her rightful place at the summit of social and economic wellbeing of the people as they enjoy their entire range of freedoms with the cultural political, basic or even inherent. (Buganda ku ntikko),to realize that vision we must be strategic, focused, determine, smart, and plan. And This takes us to the need to involve the young people because it is their years ahead and that’s why it was smart for the organizers to see the need to draw plans that touch upon young children hence this conventions theme.

He applaud the organizers of the convention for setting up a fitting theme according to the current situation and the way how technology is evolving that, work comes to nothing if you don’t involve the youths, involving young women and men in the diaspora are foresightedness and part of the leaders and organizers.

Nnaalinnya Victoria Nkinzi delivered His Majesty, the King of Buganda Kingdom Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II,who urged the youths to get up and be part of every development that impact the world.

The convention was graced by Prince David Kintu Wasajja, Kabaka’s ministers, Clan leaders, Kabaka’s representatives in the diaspora among others.
