The Kingdom of Buganda is situated in the Central region of the country known today as Uganda. It is right in the heart of Africa astride the Equator and in the North West shores of Lake Victoria and it's also the source of the great river Nile. Buganda Kingdom is the home to the nation's political and commercial capital city Kampala as well as the country's main International airport Entebbe.

The Kingdom's equatorial climate provides plentiful sunshine which is moderated by relatively high altitude. Since it's near Lake Victoria, it's mean annual temperature ranges from 16 degrees 25 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperature averages between 8 degrees to 10 degrees Celsius warmer than night temperatures. Rainfall is evenly distributed around the area and the mean annual rainfall often exceeds 2100 millimeters. Sub counties from Kyaggwe and Kyaddondo counties have today responded to Luwalo Lwaffe initiative by buying cetificates worth thirty three million shillings.

The Sub counties were led by the Kabaka’s chiefs and other local government leaders.

While attending to them, Minister for lands, Agriculture, and cooperatives, Hajjat Mariam Mayanja Nkalubo, was concerned of the increased crime rates ranging from murder and killings of innocent people. On this note, Owek Mariam encouraged the people of Buganda to get back to the Ggwanga mujje system of communication where people would drum the drums calling on residents to gather and fight for an enemy within their village. She says, this is the only solution which will hinder and also carb high crime rate.

She however asked people to draw measures of protecting the environment so that we maintain the good weather conditions we were provided by God.

State Minister for Local Government, Joseph Kawuki, called on people to know the importance of their counties by reviving those initiatives which led Buganda to the helm including; environment, encouraging the young generation to pay courtesy visits to the Kingdom seat, hard work, strengthening Baganda norms and beliefs, and self-belief. He urged the Sub county chiefs to look for Kabaka’s subjects wherever they are and incorporate them in the activities of the Kingdom.
