Kabaka Mutebi feeds animals at Zoo
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II paid a courtesy visit to the
Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC) commonly known as Entebbe
Zoo early this October.
The king, who first made a stroll around Entebbe Botanical
Gardens, later visited the animal centre, where he was welcomed by UWEC
executive director Dr James Musinguzi.
Musinguzi was flanked by UWEC board chairperson Ssebina
Katumba and manager in charge of conservation education David Musingo.
Mutebi, together with close family members, fed different
animals at the centre, including giraffes, elephants and chimpanzees in what is
termed as Keeper for a day programme.
He lauded UWEC for keeping the mantle in conserving flora
and fauna, as well as preaching the gospel of conservation.
The King's visit at Entebbe Zoo comes at a time when the
centre is gearing to celebrate 70 years of existence, at a function which will
be climaxed on December 2, 2022
