Katikkiro speaks to the Youth via ZOOM

The Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga, has urged the youth to embrace education wherever they are if they are to succeed in life.

This was during his Zoom meeting today which was organized for the youth across the world to interact with the Katikkiro.

He advised that for the youth to succeed in life, they must embrace education and scale it up to open up more opportunities.

He stressed the need for young professionals to work smart, harder, and excellent to prove their worth.

He also advised them to embrace technology and use it for development purposes and as well join hands with colleagues to establish viable businesses.

He urged the youth in the diaspora to strive harder and become conversant with their routes, and to learn their language, because they are the custodians of culture, heritage and traditions of humanity.

He thanked the Ganda Boyz for promoting the Buganda Anthem “Ekitiibwa kya Buganda” throughout the continent.

He took them through the history of the current dynasty of Buganda, which he said was established in the 13th century by Kabaka Kintu.

He explained that the Kingdom as a cooking pot sits on 3 cooking stones; the royals; the clan leaders and the entire population of Buganda. The royal clans identifies the prince who becomes King; the clan leaders head the clans while the rest of the population which formulates the 3rd stone heads the administrations of the Kingdom.

The meeting attracted over 300 participants from across the world.
