Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga Has Urged the Youth to exhibit the beautiful image of Africa to the World
This was during his meeting with the young people living in the United Stated of America, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, in Seattle, today, where he is on official duties to meet Kabaka’s people living and working in the United States of America.
He noted that the Western World portrays Africa as a land of animals and people dying of hunger and disease, and ignore the many beautiful things about Africa.
He urged them to study about the Kingdom of Buganda, their country Uganda, and the African continent, to discover the truth and tell it out to the world without prejudice.
The Katikkiro also advised them to focus on what they do, excel at it, and take advantage of the opportunities around them to improve themselves.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of State for Local Government & the King’s Official Tours, Oweek. Joseph Kawuki, who commended the parents living in the USA, for their efforts to guide their children in culture.
The youth later entertained the guests and showcased their cultural fashions.
