Hundreds attend this year’s Buganda Bumu North American Convention, tt the Hyatt Regency Hotel, in Seattle

The conference has been graced by the Katikkiro of Buganda, Oweek. Charles Peter Mayiga; the Deputy Ambassador of Uganda to the United States; the Leader of Opposition in the Parliament of Uganda, Hon. Mathias Mpuuga; Ministers from Buganda Government; Clan Leaders (Abataka Ab’Obusolya); the Supreme Mufti; Members of Parliament, Kabaka’s Representatives Abroad; officials from Buganda government and many of Kabaka’s people living in the United States. 

Oweek. Joseph Kawuki, applauded the organizers of the conference which he said has resulted into many programs that have benefited the people of Buganda, some of which include the following wells that provide safe and clean water, and computers that were distributed to ssaza headquarters for official use.

He urged leaders to desist from the misleading rumors about the Kingdom, circulated on social media, by a few disgruntled individuals.
Kabaka’s Representative in Seattle, Oweek. Moses Mayanja Ggayi, thanked his team and pledged more allegiance to the Kabaka and his government.

The Chairman, Buganda Bumu North American Conference (BBNAC), Emmanuel Wasswa Kivumbi, thanked the BBNAC members for the unity.

Omutaka Muteesasira, Keeya Tendo, on behalf of Omutaka Nnamwamwa, thanked the clan leaders who have been able to attend, and also applauded the bazzukulu, who have managed to support their clan leaders to attend the conference
