Buganda Kingdom employees trained on disease testing and health insurance systems
The training has been held today at Bulange, Mengo, at a Health Camp organized by the Kingdom’s Weerinde Insurance Company, together with Case Medicare operated by Case Hospital in Kampala.
The health camp was opened by the Speaker of the Buganda Lukiiko, Owek. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule, on behalf of the Katikkiro, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga.
Mugumbule urged people to get regular physical examinations and to exercise their bodies to remain healthy.
The Minister of Social Services and the office of the Nnaabagereka, in charge of Health, Owek. Prosperous Nankindu Kavuma, urged people to take good care of their health.
She commended the organizers of the camp, for sensitizing Kabaka’s employees on various diseases, proper feeding manners and the proper use of medical insurance.
The Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Katikkiro, Mrs. Josephine Nantege Ssemanda, thanked the Kabaka for providing free medication to his employees, which has benefited many.
Doctors led by Dr. Kenneth Agaba, took the staff through training on various health issues, followed by screening for various diseases.
