Katikkiro Mayiga urges Government to support initiatives that benefit all people
This was during his meeting with Rev. Fr. Fr. Simon Peter Kamulegeya, of Kitovu, together with a team of health officials from Masaka, who came to seek the Kingdom’s support towards their campaign to build a blood bank at Kitovu Hospital.
The Katikkiro said that government should concentrate more on sensitizing the public on how to stay healthy and as well as investing in programs that benefit everyone, instead of focusing on projects that benefit individuals.
He stressed that the Kingdom supports initiatives that improve the quality of public health, and promised to support them in this endeavor.
Rev. Fr. Fr. Simon Peter Kamulegeya, thanked Ssaabasajja Kabaka for the over 170 million shillings he donated to Kitovu Hospital, for the treatment of gynecological discharge among women. Many have been treated and the public is now aware of this ailment.
