Ejjinja ery’Omuwendo

This award was initiated by Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and it is given out during the celebrations to mark his birthday. The award is given to people in Buganda who have for a very long period excelled in the services they render to the Kingdom, the country, and the entire world in appreciation for their services. The awarding does not focus on a particular service but a wide range of services ranging from eccentric jobs to the highest intellectual services given. The Awardees are referred to as Omusiime – single and Abasiime – many.

A plaque signed by the Kabaka himself is given to each awardee for their services above self. Many people have received this award since its initiation.
