Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa is practicing Entrepreneur with over 20 years of business leadership experience. He is a Co-Founder and Group CEO of the Africa Coffee Academy an international firm providing professional, technical and business support to coffee value chains. He is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Ashland Motors Africa Limited- dealers in VW and Leyland automobiles; Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Bridge Credit Finance among others. He is a Consultant with the World Bank and the United Nations International Trade Center in Commodity Risk Management – especially in Coffee and Cotton. He serves on several Boards; he is the Chairman of Greenhill Holdings Limited-owners of Greenhill Academy Schools; Chairman Uganda Coffee Federation, he is a Council Member of Ndejje University; Board Member Habitat for Humanity Uganda, Board Member Tondeka Metro Company Chairman of World Class Team Limited; Co-Founder and Director Health Heart Foundation and Trustee of the CEO Summit among others.

Robert is a Rotarian and he served as the District Governor for Rotary District 9211 [covering Uganda and Tanzania] in 2015/16
Robert is an Adjunct Faculty Staff of Strathmore University Business School of in Kenya Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa is the Second Deputy Premier [Katikkiro] and Minister for Finance, Investments, Planning and Economic Development in the Buganda Kingdom, Uganda.

Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa is a graduate of Statistics [1992] and holds a Masters of Economics in Economic Policy and Planning [2001] from Makerere University. He is a Fellow Emeritus of the Center for the Study of African Economies [2003]; Oxford University United Kingdom. He was born on 15th January 1969, he is married, a father and a practicing Christian [Anglican].

Oweek. Hajj Prof. Twaha Kigongo Kaawaase is the First Deputy Premier (Katikkiro) of the Kingdom of Buganda and also the Minister in charge of Administration, ICT and Innovations.

Prof. Kaawaase also chairs the Annual Kabaka (King) Birthday Run and the Buganda Kingdom Provident Fund. Oweek. Kaawaase has served the Kingdom for over 27 years, having joined as a Director on the Board of Directors of the Kingdom’s radio station (CBS Radio) in 1996 to represent the interests of the then Greenland Insurance Company Ltd as a shareholder of the radio station. Served with Oweek. the late Godfrey Kaaya Kavuma as chairman of the Board of CBS. In the same year (1996), he was appointed a board member of the Kingdom’s community development initiative – the Buganda Cultural and Development Foundation (BUCADEF) under the chairmanship of the late Eng. Hubert Robert Kibuuka with Oweek David Kyewalabye Male as the Program officer, later CEO.

In 2001, the Kabaka (King) of Buganda nominated him as one of his ten special nominees to the Great Lukiiko (Parliament) of Buganda. Oweek. Kaawaase has served with all successive Katikkiros (Premiers) of Buganda under the reign of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, except Katikkiro Joash Mayanja Nkangi 1964 to 1994] Viz: Katikkiro Joseph Mulwanyamuli Ssemwogerere [1994 to 2005] (Oweek Kaawaase served as the deputy Muwanika / Deputy Minister of Finance), Katikkiro Dan Muliika [2005 to 2007] (Oweek Kaawaase served as the deputy Muwanika / Deputy Minister of Finance), Ag. Katikkiro Emanuel Sendawula [June 2007 to Dec 2007] (Oweek Kaawaase served as the deputy Muwanika / Deputy Minister of Finance); Katikkiro John Baptist Walusimbi [2007 to 2013] (Oweek Kaawaase served as the deputy Muwanika / Deputy Minister of Finance) and Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga (2013 to date) – Oweek. Kaawaase served as deputy Muwanika (Deputy Minister of Finance); Minister of Education and Chairman of Kabaka Education Fund; Second Deputy Katikkiro and Minister of Education; and currently as First Deputy Premier (Katikkiro) of the Kingdom of Buganda and also Minister in charge of Administration, ICT and Innovations. Oweek Prof. Kaawaase is a Professor of Auditing and Accounting at Makerere University Business School, Kampala.

He is the author and publisher of over 30 International peer-reviewed Journal articles. He holds a Ph.D. in Auditing of the University of Dar-Es-Salaam (Tanzania); an M.Soc.Sc (Accounting & Dev. Fin) and a P.G.Dip.Dev.Fin (both of Birmingham University-UK) and a B. Com (Accounting) of Makerere University, Kampala. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)-UK and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU). Since 1988, Prof. Kaawaase has practised accounting and auditing under his Audit firm, Sejjaaka, Kaawaase &Co. Certified Public Accountants.

He is the Chairman of the Board of directors of Uganda Reinsurance Company Ltd; Chairman of the board of Directors of Marsh International Insurance Brokers (U) Limited; and Member of the board of Directors of Simba Group of Companies. he is an Independent Trustee of the DFCU Bank Staff Provident Fund; and Member the Public Accountants Examination Board of Uganda.

He has served as a member of the New York-based International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) – Small & Medium Audit Practices Advisory Group (IFAC/SMPAG); Chairman, Board of Directors of the Uganda Capital Markets Authority; Chairman, Board of Directors of the Uganda Health Marketing Group; Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Insurance Training College of Uganda; Member, Board of Directors of the Uganda National Planning Authority; Member Board of Directors of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority; Member; Member Board of Directors, of the Uganda Grain Milling Company and as a CEO of the Greenland Insurance Company Ltd.

Prof. Kaawaase belongs to the ‘Nyonyi Ndiisa’ Clan (the Lark Clan). He is the son of the late Hajj Muhammad Nseera Kaawaase of Kitaka Gomba, the Grandson of the late Dauda Sekikubo, the late Kasim Luboto, the late Byamugenzi all of Kitaka Gomba. He hails in the lineages of Kanamwangi (Owo Lunyiriri) of Kindulwe Buddu; Sekikubo (Mutuba) of Kitaka Gomba; Bicecere (Ssiga) of Kabira Buddu; Kaliika (Clan head-Owa Kasolya) of Mukungwe Buddu. His Mother is Hajjat Mariam Nankya Kaawaase, he is therefore a grandson of the Mamba (Lung Fish) clan on the maternal side.

Oweek. Hajj Twaha Kigongo Kaawaase is married to Hajjat Alisat Kigozi Kaawaase (Of the Fumbe clan); Hajjat Haddy Matovu Kaawaase (Of the Ngabi Clan) and Hajjat Madina Kibirige Kaawaase (Of the Ngeye Clan). He has children and grandchildren.

Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga is the Katikkiro of Buganda, since 2013.

Prior to the appointment he had served the Kingdom in different capacities: – as a Principal Administrative Secretary to the Ssaabataka’s Supreme Council (the precursor to the Great Buganda Lukiiko) ( 1991 – 1994). As a member of the Great Buganda Lukiiko (1994 -1995). As Junior Minister, Lukiiko Affairs (1995 – 1996). As Minister for Cabinet &Lukiiko Affairs and Youth (1996 – 2002). As Minister for Cabinet &Lukiiko Affairs; Information; Youth and Kingdom Spokesperson (2002 – 2005). As Minister for Cabinet &Lukiiko Affairs; Information and Kingdom Spokesperson (2008 – 2013). He was involved either directly or by virtue of his different roles within the Kingdom, in the starting of a number of Kingdom organizations and companies, to wit, CBS FM; BUCADEF; Buganda Land Board; K2 Telecom among others. He either served on all their boards or rendered them service as an official of the Kingdom. Owek.

Charles Peter Mayiga is a lawyer and one of the Founder Partners of M/s Buwule&Mayiga Advocates, a law firm specializing in commercial and land transactions; investments; company matters; intellectual property, among others. The law firm was established in 1994, and is currently located at 234, Akii Bua Road, Nakasero, Kampala.

Prior to being named Katikkiro, he served on numerous boards of professional bodies, organizations and companies. He receives awards locally and internationally for his service to community in Buganda, Uganda and the Diaspora. He is an entrepreneur who has engaged in many significant business undertakings.

He is an author of 5 books to date, “Work and Prosper” being the latest, for which he has been named as the best Outstanding Non- Fiction Writer and was awarded the “Janzi Award”. His other books are: King on the Throne, the Story of the Restoration of the Kingdom of Buganda” (a Luganda version of the book is currently in print and it will be titled: Kabaka ku Nnamulondo); “Buganda ku Ntikko”; Uganda 7 Key Transformation Idea”, and “Ettoffaali”.

Charles Peter Mayiga is eloquent and when he speaks people listen. He is married to Margaret and God has blessed them with three children. He is the last of 15 children born to the late Cyprian K.B. Mukasa and the late Rebecca Kyese Mukasa of Kasanje, Bukoto, Buddu in the administrative district of Masaka. He belongs to the Mutima Clan. His mother is of Engabi Clan. He gets along with others, has zeal for changing communities especially in the social, cultural and economic spheres. He enjoys reading, writing, sports and music.
