Responsibilities

Starting up the Buganda Museum.
Coordinating the security of His Majesty and his properties.
Coordinating all security related issues in the Kingdom for the Kingdom, its staff and assets.
Creating an effective communication between His Majesty’s Government and leaders in the Royal Family.
Coordinating issues of the different Clan Heads through the Office of the Head of the Clan Council.
Following up the role of refurbishment of the Kasubi Tombs and all the other tombs.
Creating a method that will help uplift, verify, explain, write, educate and develop the Luganda language.
Creating a way that will help strengthen and shape moral values and the predominant norms of Baganda including observance of the last funeral rites, herbs, introduction ceremonies, other events that lie in this aspect.
Research, collection, storage and writing about the history of Buganda for instance Origin of Buganda, Buganda’s past Kings, affairs of Clans in Buganda, traditions, heritage, cultural norms, clans and behaviors.
Boosting tourism in Buganda on the standard of generating money to the Kingdom treasury through heritage and culture.
Finding ways to protect and preserve special sites in Buganda for instance His Majesty’s Palaces by working with Nkuluze, Naggalabi-Buddo and many others.
Finding ways to protect and uplift standards of Buganda’s cultural sites including palaces, hills, rivers, rocks and stones, trees etc
Coming up with a road map within the Ministry that will channel money directly into the treasury.
Finding ways of guiding and teaching during events in the Palace.
Finding ways of preserving, protecting and uplifting standards of Buganda’s scripted and unscripted cultures.
Responsible for restoration of the Kasubi Tombs and all the other tombs.
Coordinating the affairs of the Clans of Baganda and the Office of Katikkiro.
Drafting the Ministry budget and work plan every year.
Safeguarding, protecting and secretly keeping the aims of the Kingdom all the time.
Cabinet Collective responsibility in the affairs of the Government of His Majesty.
Drafting a report to Katikkiro citing the affairs of the department every after three years or whenever asked.
Doing any other work upon the pleasure of His Majesty or as guided by Katikkiro.
Coordinating the activities and running His Majesty’s Government and the Palace where necessary.
Finding a way of addressing the issues of Nkuluze.
Giving guidance on necessary affairs between the Palace and His Majesty’s Government.
Keeping His Majesty’s and the Kingdom’s secrets forever.
Putting up a data bank of resource persons in the different professional fields in the country and also finding a way of making them resourceful in the campaign of developing Buganda.
Uplifting the standards of the Kingdom’s Library and Archives.
Guiding, mobilizing and developing the Association of ‘’Kwanjula’’ Masters of Ceremonies.
Responsible for all committees/boards of professionals and those who run the different agencies in the Ministry and ensuring that the members are all presented to Katikkiro and Cabinet before commissioning them.
